Pipes and Staves

Pluvial Waters

- The concrete pipes are pre-molded concrete round pieces with male-female connection. They are used in pluvial waters galleries, airports and highways drainage, sewer galleries and culverts.
- Technical characteristics, according to NBR 8890/07 and error notice of 2008:

•  Cement: any kind of cement, in agreement with either NBR 5732 or NBR 5733 or NBR 5735 or NBR 5736 or NBR 5737;
•  Armor: it can be used either steel bars or soldered plates, in agreement with NBR 7480 or NBR 7481;
•  Steel fibers: those which follow NBR 15530 specifications;
•  Aggregates: selected, free of impurity, in agreement with NBR 7211;

Sanitary Sewagerio

- Concrete pipes are also used in the sanitary sewage systems (conducting and tubes net of sanitary sewage). They are resistant to chemical attack produced by the transportation of sanitary sewage residues and do not risk soil contamination, for they also have elastic joints, granting system containment, that means transported residues leaking is unlikely to occur.

Sewer staves

- Concrete sewer staves are pre-molded concrete rectangular pieces with male-female connection which are used in the pluvial drainage systems (Pluvial water galleries) of urban ways, highways and airports, open air or underground stream channeling, bridges and etc.
- Sewer staves must have their dimensions specified, varying its bottom and height on about 0,50m. As illustrated on board below:
